Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine
Beerse, Belgium

After completing my studies and training as a pharmacist, I obtained a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany, graduating in 2010. I began my industrial career at Johnson & Johnson Switzerland, as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Chemical Process R&D group at Cilag AG in Schaffhausen. Throughout my tenure in Johnson&Johnson, I have taken on various roles with increasing responsibilities. In 2011, I became a people leader in process R&D, a position I have since balanced with project and matrix leadership roles. As a process chemist, I have supported projects throughout their developmental stages, from initial GMP manufacturing to commercial production, collaborating with both internal teams and external partners. I played a key role in filing activities for two marketed products and am currently part of the project for a product for which marketing authorization submissions are underway. In 2018, I relocated from Switzerland to Belgium to lead the Post Approval Support group within the Chemical Process R&D department. In 2020, my team was integrated into a larger process R&D group, with me continuing as the leader. As of 2019, I took on the responsibility of conducting comprehensive nitrosamine assessments for all marketed pharmaceutical products in response to mandates from major health authorities, becoming the departmental subject matter expert and a member of the expert team supporting Johnson & Johnson products on this critical issue.
